PLOT 22 is a registered charity (1165624). We host activities for groups and individuals to plant, tend, harvest, create, share, eat and celebrate together. Based on an allotment site in Hove we have created a beautiful space where people can connect with the elements and the natural cycles of the seasons. People tell us just being here helps them feel relaxed and refreshed. Woven into the design of the space, the work we do and the way we host and run the activities are three core ethics drawn from Permaculture: ‘Earth care’, ‘People care’ and ‘Fair share’. At PLOT 22 we believe in the ‘power of place’. Developing a personal bond with the land is not always considered important and sometimes can be difficult, especially when we live in a city. Having a special relationship with the land brings a sense of belonging, connection and guardianship. We believe this is essential if we are to live healthily and well as individuals and as communities in harmony with our beautiful planet.
