JPhotographic memories of childhood in the Rhondda Valleys, South Wales.



This book contains personal and evocative images from The Rhondda Valleys, South Wales, United Kingdom. They are a direct reflection of my childhood memories, of growing up in a small coal mining village, from birth to my late teens.

I returned to Wales in 2003 and spent two years gathering images as a mature photographic student that evoked memories from my early childhood days there.

This book then, is a simple collection and reflection of those memories, of places in which I both laughed and cried, sometimes with and sometimes without, friends and family alike over those years.
