Karen Freya Dahl is co- author of "I Was There." She is this book’s designer and is also a photographer. She has studied children's literature and the writing of children's books throughout her life. ]She conceived the idea for this story and invited the others into the process. Carol Caouette is the co-author. She is the principal musician at White Bear Unitarian Universalist Church in Mahtomedi, Minnesota. As a singer/musician, she performs live, she has recorded and produced CDs with several other musicians, and she is a published writer and poet. Carol is also a former high school Language Arts teacher. Judy Fawcett is an award-winning water media artist and retired teacher of children with learning disabilities. This is her first venture into the world of children’s book illustration, a long-held dream.
