This book is the first of a two-part series about growing up in the mid-north of Eudunda, South Australia during the 30's and 40's. Joyce Baehnisch was born Joyce Jenke, and this is the story about her childhood on the family farm, and growing up in those times. The sequel (also available) is called 'River of Life'.
