Andrew Hatfield is an Architectural and Interior Photographer, MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor and Project Manager with a BA(Hons) in Photographic Practice. His interest in photography developed because the photographers he employed rarely managed to capture the essence of the buildings they were asked to photograph. He now believes that this deficiency stems from a lack of appreciation of design, the subject and the intended audience. He embarked on a BA(Hons) in Photographic Practice to develop a greater understanding of narrative and contextualisation within the built environment. He graduated with 1st class honours, wining the Dave Keskeys Memorial Arts Award for best art student and a nomination for student of the year in the process. His fine art work is ongoing and continually influences his commercial practice, allowing him to produce work that is both involving and descriptive.
