Book Four: "In Which the Outside Inn Becomes the Inside Inn"



In the fourth of P. Dunk Skiddlewink's adventures, "In Which the Outside Inn Becomes the Outside Inn, yep, you'll meet P. Dunk still skiddling across Dry Gulch Canyon making himself famous for his deeds of daring.



Verne and Vinne Buzzard reprise their roles as villains extraordinaire and learn from the humans how to make a quick buck, at the expense of their fellow critters. All they care about is getting rich, whatever that is, and they get their whole family involved, including Guido and Johnny, and you don't want to mess with them.



Let's just say that the buzzards take the birds who summer at Cotton-Wood Bend for all the bugs they got.



Well, that's the last straw, and Slim Pickens, the Roadrunner, and Lickety Split, P. Dunk's little brother, join P. Dunk, Coyote, and Carl in high-fallutan showdown at the ghost town. If you've been following P. Dunk and his adventures, you may be surprised to find, that instead of muscle, which lizards don't have, P. Dunk uses his brains, for once, and the Buzzards don't, as usual.



This is the three desert tricksters at their best, which they have to be to outwit La Verne and Vinnie, who contrary to popular belief, just might pull this one off.



Ages: P. Dunk Skiddlewink is appropriate for reading fun from 4-16 years old. It's a mixture of Winnie the Pooh meets Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam meets the true beauty of the Southwest American Desert. The characters and their environment are educationally accurate as to life in the desert of the Colorado Plateau (Southern Utah and Northern Arizona) and is a fun teaching companion for any Parent who wants to relive wildlife sightings with their children or prepare them for an upcoming trip to this glorious area full of stunning National Parks (such as Grand Canyon National Park, Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Lake Powell and similar state parks).
