Born into hardship, part of a large and caring family, Gordon Bickmore tells the story of his youth in the war years, serving his country, building a succesful career and then almost jeapordising everything. In partnership with his wife Betty, he rode the roller coaster of owning and running businesses before settling into a quieter life in Sawbridgeworth, where he now lives.
