Upon migrating to the United States from Jamaica in 1968, Lyndall Rhoden was inspired to write about some of his experiences and observations while going through: High School, The United States Air Force, Bronx Community College, Los Angeles City College and California State University Northridge (CSUN) - where he obtained his B.A. in Political Science.

Volume I of The Voice of the Lion is entitled “PURR” and touches briefly on the observations and experiences of the ups and downs of love, attraction, affection, relationships and intimacy through my life experiences.
