Jonathan Foster is an architect and photographer from New York. He has taught autistic children, had a bicycle shop, and studied at the Graduate School of Design where he was a Harvard Fellow in Architectural History. He is interested in everything from the cult of tea to the meaning of a smile. The study of how a place affects people, and vice versa, rises to the surface in these photographs of Venice and nearby locales. He resides in East Hampton.
