À propos du livre
In the course of history there have been many experiments. Dr Frankenstein made a new life, Dr Jekyll delved into the dark psyche of man, and Dr Lecter gave us whole new ways of thinking about food.
None of those experiments are quite like the one you now hold in your hand.
This is an experiment with form. With style. The results, as you will attest, prove that no rule is unbendable. These five stories are a long-awaited departure from the rigid rules your English teacher desperately tried to hammer home.
Sometimes we forget that stories began with storytellers. Not storywriters, but storytellers. This is not a book of stories. It is a conversation between you and the author, and doesn't include me.
So I shall pass you over.

À propos du créateur
Rebecca Lake is a 21 year old, English born, third year undergraduate student at the University of Kent, studying for her degree in English and American Literature with Creative Writing. Her growing talent has been tutored by published contemporaries including Scarlett Thomas (author of 'The End of Mr Y'), Amy Sackville ('The Still Point') and children's author Malachy Doyle ('The Dancing Tiger'). Shall I Pass You Over is her first published work (2012), a collection of short stories constituting an intriguing exploration in language and form written in her characteristically experimental style. But beneath this boundary pushing are five brilliantly relatable stories that will make you smile, laugh and want to read again and again.
