Smoke

I don't smoke. I don't have any real problems with people who DO smoke, because I think we should all be free to do the things we want to do. We're all aware of the potential consequences of smoking, so there's no need for all those sanctimonious non-smokers to invoke the politically-correct, nanny-state, moral-superiority attitudes and start imposing their own thoughts and beliefs on those who do smoke.



I don't smoke, but I drink. In fact, there are times when I drink pretty heavily. I might not be damaging my lungs, but I'm definitely not doing my liver many favours. And I might not be polluting the air with cigarette smoke, but I might be getting a bit rowdy, having a laugh at the expense of others and creating a disruption at stage performances of We will rock you. But that's a whole separate story. Ask me about it if you see me.



Also... and this must really piss off the anti-smoking brigade... smoking really DOES look cool, sometimes. Audrey Hepburn, Bill Hicks, Clint Eastwood, Bob Marley, Rod Serling, James Dean, Marlon Brando... all of these people have been pictured with a fag in their hand and looking seriously fucking cool. And yes... I think they'd have still looked cool without that prop, but they wouldn't have looked quite AS cool as they did. So long as you're not hacking your lungs up and spitting black phlegm into a glass, you're probably looking pretty cool with a fag in your hand and smoke drifting from your mouth. And if you ARE hacking your lungs up... well, you just need to know what moderation means.



And that's why I posed for these pictures. I lit up a fag and got Adriana to take the pictures. OK, so I don't smoke. So these pictures are a lie and an affectation. But they still look pretty cool, don't they?
