À propos du livre
This is a book about my Pugs. Not the living breathing kind, but the ones I created with pen or pencil or brush over the course of several years. I started my artistic Pug endeavours - and I'm using the word "artistic" very loosely here - in the seventies with crude little drawings of Pugs. I called them my stick Pugs; they were very elementary and could only be identified as Pugs because they had black ears and faces.
Unfortunately—or perhaps not—I wasn’t very diligent in taking pictures of my early work, so almost no record exists of it. I only started photographing everything after I started selling my work online in 1996. Some of the pictures from that time are not as good as I would like as I did not have the kind of photographic equipment that is available now. I have done my best to present them to their best advantage and I apologize for their shortcomings.
What you will find in this book, then, is a sampling of my vision of Pugs. Enjoy.

I am long time former Pug breeder/exhibitor, who spent several decades painting, drawing or otherwise creating Pugs in different media. I no longer own any Pugs, but the breed remains close to my heart.
