This book is a collection of found typography that I have collected through out various towns and cities in the United Kingdom. The main areas I visited were in the North East of England, Newcastle and Sunderland. In the Midlands, Birmingham and Rugeley and in Northern Ireland, Belfast and Bangor.
My intentions were very different at the start of this project to what they were by the end of it as my knowledge, insight and interest grew as I took more pictures and began to notice a lot of things that made the typography stand out and be noticed, things such as textures, location and its surroundings.
I had to take out more than half of the pictures I took to be in this book, there was so many of them. This was also due to the fact that my intentions were developing as the project went on.
Not all the photos are mine and there are some contributions from people with various backgrounds such as Vets, Designers, Nurses and Photographers and these are all from different parts of the world.
So sit back, relax and enjoy this book as it is the first of many!
