Although I have seen and photographed kingfishers in many locations, this book is about a family of kingfishers that live on the River Test in Hampshire. I have followed their lives on an almost daily basis: during the breeding season, nurturing the young into the summer and witnessing them survive a very hard winter; the new generation taking over the territory, and pairing up for the first time.
