Two weeks before Valentine's Day 2011, I asked everyone to write on my facebook fan page "What I really love is..." and the postings were so heartfelt and amazing! I had intended to send out one handmade red cardinal to the winner of the best quote, but I ended up wanting everyone to be a winner and so I made 52 cardinals and shipped them to several countries. Before sending them off, however, I took them all on field trips around Boulder and to Hollywood and New York City... I then posted photos of them on their adventures. As people began getting their cardinals, which had their own names by the way, I began seeing pictures of the birds' new homes. SO fun!

The book,"Love Birds: What I Really Love Is..."is the heartfelt and sweet compilation of the quotes and photos. It is a reminder to celebrate what we love every day of the year. You can see a sample of pages here.

We decided to donate 10 % of our proceeds to the World Wildlife Fund in honor of the sacred animals of the world.
