During the academic year of 2009 / 10 I travelled to Sheffield by train twice a week. It was not a happy time. One way of coping was to document visually my regular journey from Chesterfield to Sheffield and back again, armed with a small digital compact camera and a small notebook. This work is an attempt to make sense of the journey I was undertaking both physically and metaphorically.
