In November of 2010 I visited Tanzania. My journey took me through Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater and throughout the Serengeti. It was a magical two week adventure that I will never forget.



From charging bull elephants to my very first leopard and then my second and third, to herds of wildebeest and buffalo crossing the sun baked earth. I loved the lions that roared near my tent long into the night, and the thousands of zebra that never seemed too far from view. The hippos that gurgled and snorted and smelled really bad, doe eyed giraffe and the tiny hyrax I wanted to plop in my pocked and take home with me.



It chronicles my time with the Maasai, the Hadzabe bushmen and a family of Da Toga. The hours I spent by watering holes mesmerized by the dramas that unfolded like episodes of National Geographic.



This book tells the tales of those wonderful days and nights in the bush. The places I stayed, the people I met and of Chillie Meela, my fun, and wonderful guide.
