As the Peace Corps celebrates its 50th anniversary, one returned volunteer who served four years in Thailand in the 1980's shares a personal archive of photographs documenting some of his encounters there. At age 21, Kevin Acers made the unconventional decision to move from Oklahoma to Thailand as a Peace Corps volunteer. The images in this book depict some of the people and places that gave this richly textured experience its significance.
