À propos du livre
Burnham Thorpe, Nelson's village is a photographic portrait on the village where Nelson was born. Many villages in England are now disappearing being folded in to a larger village or towns near by. The village itself in Nelson's life time was a thriving village with 5 farms, blacksmiths, carpenters and village stores. Nelson's parents are buried in All Saints Church. Today nearly half the village belongs to second home owners and tourism has replaced farming. My husband is the landlord of The Lord Nelson pub and we both consider ourselves caretakers of this piece of history.
