The intimacy of the sculptural vessels goes beyond works that deal primarily with traditional craftsmanship and functional qualities associated with this art form. I love keeping the pieces more primitive, more raw, so that the work reflects my emotions without disguise. My work transcends its own history of form and function and begins to reflect the meditative process I go through in creating my work. The results are an experience of quiet ceremony.
