Ross Brown trained as a fine artist in the early 1980s at Farnham College, Newcastle-upon-Tyne Polytechnic and University of Wisconsin, Stout. In the late 80s he switched media from paint to sound, earning his living as a professional musician, composer, sournd designer and sound operator. He is now a writer, sonic artist, photographer and Professor of Sound at the Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London
