À propos du livre
Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge is 35,000 acres of pristine wetlands located in southwest Louisiana. It is home to many species of birds, animals and plants and is a vital refuge to waterfowl during the fall and winter migrations.
My goal was to photograph the wildlife and land of this magical place through four seasons and share with others the essence of this ecosystem.
With the recent oil spill in the nearby Gulf of Mexico, I felt this book was a timely reminder of how precious and fragile our natural resources truly are.
If this helps open the eyes of just a few people to the fragility of our world then this project has been a success.
