The Space Between Us began as an exploration of family closeness. I sought to survey and preserve moments of intimacy within my family, and to speak of our relationships and lasting presence left within our distant homes - New Jersey, Arizona and Costa Rica.



As time progressed, an irony so powerful ensued, where this exploration of closeness brought light to a distance. What once began as a collection of family moments and articulations of comfort and attachments, soon surpassed the keepsake initiative and grew into a much grander and complex measure of love, identity and melancholy.
