À propos du livre
Generation Behind: Cancerslug is the first in a series of personal concert photography books.
This book covers eight years of photographing Cancerslug, the most vile band ever, from Huntsville, Alabama. It is about the deafening volume, the smell of blood in the hot, sweat-soaked air, and the sticky beer clinging to the floors of small venues.
It is about Alex Story’s brutality and raw energy onstage, but it is also about the people packed into the room. Cancerslug is a diverse group, and the Slugcult is just as diverse. People from completely different backgrounds come together, scream the same words, and become part of something ugly, loud, strange, and real.
These photographs show what it feels like to be there.
