Preface
This account follows Narek on a journey that began as a routine business trip. At least, that was the expectation. He had traveled before, across Europe, Africa, and North and Central America, moving from one meeting to another, each with its own structure and purpose. There was always a plan, an objective, and a clear understanding of what needed to be accomplished.
What unfolded across Jordan, Cairo, Kuwait and Dubai could not have been anticipated. The meetings were important, the business real, but they did not define the experience. The moments before conversations began. The pauses. The observations. The unspoken understanding between people from different worlds. It was everything around them.
Narek did not try to control these moments. He observed. He listened. He adjusted when necessary, and when not, he remained exactly who he was. In doing so, he came to understand something that cannot be taught or prepared for: In many parts of the world, business is never the starting point. What matters comes first.
This is not a guide. It is simply a record of what happened, moments that may appear ordinary, but carried meaning far beyond what was said. Because in the end, what shaped this journey was not the deal. It was everything that happened before the business.
