À propos du livre
Shot in natural light and real environments, this series follows Elena through a sequence that feels less like a posed shoot and more like something unfolding in real time. There’s a softness here — not just in how she looks, but in how she moves, how she reacts, how she settles into the space.
Nothing is forced. Nothing is overworked.
The images move from playful to reflective, from distance to closeness, building a simple, honest narrative without trying to explain it.
This is not about perfection or performance.
It’s about presence — and a version of Elena that only existed for a short time, now preserved in photographs.

À propos du créateur
Dave Foss is a New York–based fine art photographer whose work is rooted in natural light, real locations, and the unpredictable moments that happen in between. For more than fifty years, he has photographed people in abandoned buildings, industrial spaces, beaches, streets, forests, and small forgotten corners of the Northeast — allowing the location, weather, light, and collaboration with the model to shape the image naturally. Working instinctively rather than through heavily staged productions, Foss creates photographs that balance atmosphere, intimacy, humor, vulnerability, and a strong sense of place, often blurring the line between documentary and fine art photography. His work is frequently presented in self-published books and magazines that combine images with the stories behind them.
