À propos du livre
Presented with a scrapbook aesthetic and a ‘zine sensibility, the author crafts a memoir of the photographers ranging from the stellar to the obscure who have inspired him over more than fifty years of practice of his art. From brief encounters to decades-long intense friendships, he pays tribute in words and pictures (writings, drawings and photographs) to these artists with whom he interacted and who informed his lifelong production of nearly half a million images.
In two volumes, revealing a unique look at Ansel Adams, Bill Wertz, Edmund Teske, Jack Welpott, James Friedman, Jerry Uelsmann, Judy Dater, Lee Friedlander, Librado “Lee” Romero, Lynne Garber, Ralph Gibson, Sandra Darnley and Ted Orland.
