After losing one of my best friends in 2022, I started a journal to help me express some of my grief through words. While a lot of these poems are inspired by Jillian, the habit of using words to express my emotions came easily to me.

I continued to write, painting the canvas with words only ever intended for my eyes. The more comfortable I became with showing people my work, the more I was encouraged to share it. This journal has gotten me through heartbreak, falling in love, and repeating that cycle over and over again. I am sure Jillian would have encouraged me to share these words with the world.
