MyHeroComics is a company founded by Zawadi Noël and dedicated to utilizing the artform of cartooning to uplift, celebrate, and educate people and their communities across borders. The books we create are often in partnership with schools in the US, and create opportunities for young artists to develop there creative voice, feel empowered in that voice, and build an understanding of self-publishing. Our student-collaborations are labeled as student editions, and all proceeds are given to the students involved. Our independent titles explore and support the creative process through gamified storytelling set in sci-fi and fantasy worlds. These titles are created to spotlight and center dismissed and disenfranchised communities, plant seeds of critical thinking and creative problem-solving, and to spark joy while advocating for justice.
