À propos du livre
This book presents a collection of photographs captured during eight protests held throughout Austin, Texas, in 2025. Six of these were part of larger nationwide demonstrations: the 50501 Movement, Hands Off, No Kings, and protests against ICE policies and Tesla’s association with Elon Musk, each reflecting local solidarity with national efforts. The remaining two events were Texan in focus: the Save Texas Schools rally, which opposed Governor Greg Abbott’s push to divert taxpayer funds to private school vouchers, and the Emergency March and Picket event, organized in response to Abbott’s redistricting plan that effectively positioned U.S. Representatives Lloyd Doggett and Greg Casar as rivals.
With a relentless assault on the Republic by the Trump administration, 2025 was an active year for progressive protests in the United States and Austin showed up.
