A chronology of the universe starting with Creation as narrated in Paradise Lost and in Genesis. Taking the six days of creation, the narrative is augmented with additional scientific data suitable for children interested in the subject. Subsequent chapters delve more deeply into the scientific and evolutionary concepts surrounding the history of the earth and life. There is a section describing for children the energy story of the universe and introducing the concepts of mass-energy and entropy. The birth, life, and death of a star is narrated. There is an explanation for older children on the Goldilocks Universe: why everything is “just right” for life as we know it. Finally, the Bir Rip: possible scenarios for the end of our universe as we know it.
