Aubrey Nell Compositions No. 1



Similar to many renowned Texan potters, Aubrey attended McMurry University, graduating with a BFA with concentration in Ceramics. After graduation she completed a self-initiated series of small, clay sculpture figures depicting emotive, poised humans. The sculptures stare sharply, contemplating, but clearly communicating with their dramatic poses. The warmth of life’s blessings meets the solemn feeling of sympathizing with a loved one’s distress; prompting the viewer to humble themselves and feel nostalgic — or — to wake up and feel natural potential.
