The year is 1939. Ten-year-old Francesco sees his dad die in front of his eyes. So he travels to different places, in Italy and America, to find new friends. He finds his mom, right where she left him when he was a baby. It ends with him finding her in an old-school Italian restaurant that serves Pineapple Pizza.
