Destinee is a loving mom, who sometimes finds it difficult to effectively communicate with her daughter, Aeli. Aeli is an energetic, funny, sassy, and thoughtful girl. Destinee has an amazing partner who pushes her to be a better version of herself daily and helps hold her accountable when she doesn't approach a situation best. Destinee is also a fur mama to Sunset, Zeus, and Lux. Destinee decided to craft this “Mom & Me Back & Forth” journal when she began finding it difficult to communicate face-to-face with Aeli about certain situations. Aeli is a child who doesn't always like to talk about feelings given the loss of her father when she was 5 years old. Aeli needs love and reassurance like most pre-teens. Destinee thought it would be a good idea to put together this journal when she began attending support groups for parents with neurodivergent children to find ways/tips to communicate with Aeli who has ADHD and Anxiety effectively.
