This book is exactly what you are told not to do - to assemble a collection of unrelated photos that won’t hold together as a coherent work. I had hoped to feature about 20 pictures that I thought were highly original or unique - the ones that most people wouldn’t have thought to shoot. But even with 12,000 pictures taken this year, I only had about 10 of those. So I also included some shots where I had the sense to put myself in the right place at the right time, and others where I just plain lucked out. Each of the highlighted pictures are shown on the right-hand page, and a few comments about the photo and why it appeals to me is on the left side.
