“Good for Nothing” is a project tackling environmental issues in North America. I photographed and collected detritus which was scattered across the local environment. The photographs were made to document the trace that humans leave behind no matter the location they go. After being photographed, the trash was collected and saved to later create cyanotypes.

The use of cyanotypes was inspired by their previous use in photographic history as a way to document and make blueprints. Littering, overconsumption, and humans, are the blueprint for our environmental issues. The cyanotypes are also used to affirm the idea that this waste had been sitting and leaving its mark on the environment in which it was found -- much like the waste left its impression on the paper in which it was developed on.
