My first book, with help from my best friend and digging partner 'Johnny bottles' as he is known on the Island.This is a pictorial diary of 4 yrs of excavation on Bute and and the items recovered along with a history of the Mineral water manufacturers, brewers, wine&spirit merchants etc. and the shops and premises used by them. Also a glimpse into the lives of two slightly mad excentric charactors....a must have book if we say so ourselves!



Please be aware that digging on the Island is now finished, 99% of the sites having been thoroughly excavated and restored and further digging is strictly forbidden by landowners and local authorities
