Al McGrew is the skinny, naive country kid who left home in the pursuit of friendship and the road to adventure, and found instead Dai Toa Senso, Japan's Great Pacific War, Corregidor, and Japanese POW Camps. Yet with the rising and falling of Colonial and Imperial empires around him, Al emerged from his POW years a peculiar amalgam of strengths and weakness. Nietzsche said that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, and Al's memories of all those years ago are clearer than what he did yesterday, and we are all the better for it.

Through the Corregidor Historic Society and, more recently the 503d PRCT Heritage Regiment., Paul presents thirteen publications, all connected in some way with Corregidor and the US Armed Forces in the SWPA during WWII. He started developing the Corregidor.Org website about the 1941-42 siege and the 1945 retaking of Corregidor as, so he calls it, a 'penance' for his career as an insolvency lawyer. Now retired, he has produced ten websites, more than twenty Military History books, and has co-produced, with Peter Parsons, the documentary of the 1945 retaking of Corregidor - "CORREGIDOR - THE ROAD BACK. He married Rosie in 1980, has three adult children, and hates cats. Lately, he has indulged his muse as a photographer and design-layout creator, authoring several books he calls "frolics" - personal retrospectives. Though highly individual, he doesn't expect them to sell as do his military books, so he has set them on "full preview" so you can get to enjoy them free.
