À propos du créateur
David has been a collegiate instructor in the field of photography since 1988 and strives to excite students about the potential of the medium, directing them to seek ways to build upon their successes. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Design, Visual & Performing Arts at St. Louis Community College at Meramec. Teaching and researching aspects of photographic history are also important components of his academic outlook. David has had his essays appear in peer-reviewed journals and in exhibition catalogs over the past 25 years. His book, "Illuminating Shadows: The Calotype in Nineteenth-Century America," was released in 2013 (Carl Mautz Publishing). Creating and exhibiting his own photographic work are also critical to his engagement with the medium, and he has undertaken extended projects as a photographer at archaeological excavations in Syria (1990-2001) and the Republic of North Macedonia (2007-08).
