This month's issue marks a historical moment for the Y35 Mag - Douglas and Françoise Kirkland generously allowed me to interview them and share some of the most iconic work the film-photography world has to offer. Douglas' work has spanned several decades, making waves throughout the artistic realm as he has beautifully captured icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and so many more. And, at age 87, Douglas is still driven by that need to capture and has offered a wealth of valuable knowledge to film enthusiasts through this special feature. Kate Anderson, another exceptional film photographer from California, presents a collection of some of her favorite works. Her story delves into the discovery of her love for film, a story that intertwines with those of her parents. As for my latest work, I am excited to share some new ventures I have undertaken with my photographic efforts along with a self-admittedly vulnerable, personal story to accompany my images.
