OPENSPACE Nomadic Gallery presents REMNANTS by Pipi Deer, an installation of found objects that was the centerpiece of a solo exhibition in the gallery in 2016.

REMNANTS is composed of 40 objects of significance, sealed in zip lock bags, affixed directly to a wall. The sealed bags preserve what is lost: memories, death, beauty; each tracing back to a time and place, mostly forgotten. Each object is heart-felt, with a deeply personal history. These relics have a definite aura, infused with life essence, refusing to be tossed away. Each separate bag and its object holds a life, slowly dying. Through this mesmerizing work, Pipi intricately weaves together the fragments of a fading past.
