Mary is a retired math and science teacher, and Pierce County WA Master Gardener. She loves growing flowers and vegetables, hiking, camping, geology, music and playing with her granddaughters in Seattle. She received a PhD in education from the University of New Mexico in 2009 with a focus on diversity and equity in math education.
