Producing quality wine is and always will be the goal at Colter’s Creek. By growing happy vines and picking their own grapes, Melissa and Mike have control of every step of the process and can ensure their wine will be delicious. And as a former caretaker of those vines, let me tell you, those plants are indeed happy. They listen to the wind, the patter of rain, and the everyday conversations and musings of the vineyard grunts. The little vineyard outside Juliaetta – started by Larry Spencer, carried on by Larry Kornze, finished by Melissa Sanborn and Mike Pearson – is thriving and here to stay.
