Melanie McClellan-Hartnett is a poet and artist living in Charleston, SC. Her work appears in Sheltered: SC Artists Respond to the 2020 Pandemic, Fall Lines, and the Poetry Society of SC. Her first book of poetry, Goodbye, Oyster Girls, was published in 2018 by Broad River Books. With her second book, Some Bad Moon, she chose to follow in the footsteps of Virginia Woolf and Jane Austen and explore self-publishing via Blurb Books.
Her writing, like her art, focuses on the nuances of memory, the human experience, and how our present response to the past shapes our future.
