Ever since I was young I have loved the outdoors. With this in mind I attended the University of Guelph for Wildlife Biology with the intention of getting a job that would allow me to combine making a living and being outdoors. My education led to jobs first for government and now for a private consulting firm. My job is essentially what I foresaw when choosing what to study at university and I am happy with my decisions. My career has taken me to interesting places all over Canada and to places in South America that would never have been possible. I hope anybody who sees my book can take some inspiration from the fact that having a job that you love and a job that takes you to interesting places can be worth so much more than money.
