Photographer from the northern suburbs of Chicago.
I've been involved and interested in photography for well over 40 years. I've always been particularly attracted to editorial and photojournalistic styles including Cartier-Bresson, W. Eugene Smith, and others from the heydays of LIFE and LOOK magazine. While I particularly enjoy photographing people, my subject material is actually quite eclectic.

I made a New Years resolution for 2012 to take and make a photo every day of the year. I felt it would be a good discipline to help me develop more photo skills, learn to "see" scenes and potential images in any surrounding or situation, and also force myself to combat any creative block. The project was rewarding and challenging beyond my expectations. I feel that I learned much about the creative photo process and also about myself. And, I had fun!
I used a Canon DSLR and a iPhone 4 for the images in the project.
