I was a stay-at-home mom, deep in the day-to-day chores of raising two young boys. I was not a gardener. In fact, I could not keep even a simple spider plant alive. I started reading garden books, taking classes and experimenting in my home and landscape with plants of all sorts. My neighbors started asking me to help them with their window boxes and gardens, as mine started to grow and beautify the neighborhood. After a few years of experimenting and absorbing all the horticulture information I could, I became accepted as a Master Gardener. I volunteered my time to continue to excite the community about plants and eventually opened my own gardening company. Sarah’s Cottage Creations was born.

When I started Sarah’s Cottage Creations in 2001, I never imagined that a few years later we would plant more than 80,000 annuals each spring, as well as appear on fun landscape reality shows, like Curb Appeal and Landscape Smart!
