Sacha Halona Baumann makes books by walking. She is an artist, designer, curator, and arts administrator based in downtown Los Angeles, where she documents the city through surfaces, shadows, signs, and small repeating details.

Her ongoing photobook series STEP AND REPEAT gathers hundreds of smartphone images made while wandering downtown—quiet, generous pictures of a city in motion. The first volume was featured in the Los Angeles Times. She is also the founder of the arts broadsheet FULL BLEDE.
