Mark Belliveau is a Canadian photographer who has been making photographs for more than three decades, beginning with a Pentax K1000 he bought at sixteen. His approach to photography is personal documentary: minimalist, intuitive, and rooted in the belief that attention matters more than equipment.

His photographic outlook has been shaped by the teaching of Freeman Patterson and by the work of photographers including Ralph Gibson and William Eggleston. He lives in the Canadian Maritimes, moving between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, where he continues to photograph the ordinary world around him—one lens, one subject, at a time.
