Born to immigrant parents in rural, southwestern Ontario, Alice has been a professional artist since 1980. She maintains a studio in Cobourg, Ontario, where she lives with her husband.

Alice completed her BA in Art Education at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and has studied visual art at the Ontario College of Art and Design. In addition to solo exhibits in Canada and France, Alice has exhibited her work in numerous juried exhibitions in Canada, Europe and the United States, including New York, Chicago, Philadelphia and New Mexico. Her commissioned sculpture "C Formation" is a permanent art installation at the Cobourg Community Centre. She is represented by the OENO Gallery in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada.
